Matwork classes are an excellent way for beginners to try the Pilates Method. Based mainly on the floor with a low impact approach, classes are a good way to master the fundamentals and learn more about the body. Clients can then progress onto the specialised Pilates Studio Equipment or work through the various Matwork styles and levels available. There are a maximum of 10 clients per tutor in the Pilates Matwork classes.

Trained matwork instructors will lead you through a series of co-ordinated exercises based upon the classical repertoire of Joseph Pilates. Evolved to incorporate new methods, a strong emphasis is placed on stability and strengthening the abdominals to support a strong, functioning spine.
