What’s Involved?

Initially exercises will focus on small and specific movement, encouraging clients to pay attention to performing them correctly and with ease. It can often be challenging for even the more practiced athletes among us. It helps us to identify and correct faulty posture. Working with awareness and efficiency alters the muscle memory, bringing us back to our most ergonomic centre. Moving better, feeling better!

“Contrology is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, in the way you play and in the way you work.” Joseph H. Pilates

Regular Pilates sessions will enhance your balance and help co-ordination, which, in turn, supports better physical performance and is especially important through the ageing process. It requires mental focus to train your body to move optimally, whether in athletic activities or everyday life – it’s intelligent exercise!

If you are in pain through faulty posture, repetitive strain, injury or any structural issues, Pilates can be a gentle, safe and efficient way of supporting those problems, however we always recommend you seek the advice of a clinical specialist before starting a new course of physical activity.
